PROJECT 365 ROY JOHNSON'S PHOTOGRAPHY
Hello Everyone,
The real beauty of photography is that it’s Art, just like a Rembrandt or a Picasso. Each were great in their own rights
And yet……totally different in styles. Every person with a camera has desire and passion to create art. Some art is liked…… some is not. just like the greats . There is however a few basic rules for photography that are still in practice today from its humble beginnings after that the creative window is wide open.
When choosing a photographer a couple of quick questions come to mind.
Is the photographer reliable, knowledgeable, personable, experienced and equipped. The answers to these questions will also answer other questions that can arise during a consultation with potential photographers.
I’ve learned the value of being prepared. My approach is very simple, be ready for anything. Example: I was scheduled to do a outdoor session with a youth sports team. 45 minutes before the session the sky over their field started to look very bad. I knew of A public building close by. A mass text went out to all attending about the change in venue. The room chosen that had a crimson color wall …..Add a few of pieces of extra gear not needed earlier and we are ready to go . A lot of times these images can become favorites. Was it because the new location forced me to be more creative?
Because I am driven to explore I will continue to evolve into what is defined as “My Style” There’s many ways you can create an exposure and compose a subject just to settle on one would limit my creativity. I capture what I feel based on what I see. As far as event assignments go, you have to be ready for the unforeseen. Whether it’s your wedding day or event they have to be planed out with a certain precision for it to go smoothly and result in success.
My unique style of creating an exposure and conducting
Your event, wedding or session is what you’re really investing in,
There’s only one person that can do me, the rest is,
…. well Basic Photography.
